Palestinian youth killed, 14 injured by Israeli gunfire Al-Bireh

A young Palestinian man was killed and 14 others were injured by live Israeli gunfire this evening during ongoing confrontations at the northern entrance of the city of Al-Bireh in the occupied West Bank. This marks the fourth fatality in the occupied West Bank on Saturday. Dr. Ahmed Al-Bitawi, the director of the Palestinian Medical Complex in Ramallah, identified the slain young man as Omar Ibrahim Al-Tarsha, a resident of the town of Beitunia. Al-Tarsha succumbed to severe injuries in the head caused by live ammunition during the confrontations at the northern entrance of Al-Bireh. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medical teams treated 12 Palestinians for gunshot wounds, including three injuries caused by rubber-coated metal bullets during the confrontations at the northern entrance of Al-Bireh. Earlier in the day, another young Palestinian, Karam Al-Aydi, 22, from the Ain Sultan refugee camp in Jericho, lost his life due to critical head injuries inflicted by live Israeli gunfire during confrontations in the city. The latest developments coincide with a brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has so far killed 198 Palestinians, the majority of them civilians, and the injury of 1,600 others.
