The Bahrain national volleyball team ended second in the 2023 Asian Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup.

The national squad lost to Thailand 3-0 in the final of the tournament, hosted by Chinese Taipei, 20-25, 20-25 and 16-25.

The national team had been in phenomenal form throughout the tournament. They brushed Sri Lanka aside 3-1 in their opening preliminary round game and bounced back from a 3-2 defeat in their second first-round match against Indonesia to demolish the Philippines 3-0 in a second-round fixture.

Bahrain, then, overcame the mighty Australians 3-1 in their quarter-final clash, and beat South Korea 3-0 in the semi-final.
