Bahrain Polytechnic’s academic year plans reviewed

Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Polytechnic, Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and Sameer Abdullah Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) visited Bahrain Polytechnic.

The visit aimed to review the college’s plans to develop education in line with the requirements of the labour market, noting the importance of continuing to be updated with modern learning methods that stimulate creativity and innovation.

The minister affirmed the college’s role in supporting growth and economic diversification in Bahrain, within the framework of the college plan (2023 – 2026) by providing its students with the necessary technical, professional and applied qualifications and skills.

Professor Ciarán Ó Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, briefed the visitors on the academic programmes offered by the college, which were designed to suit global trends and labour market needs. He pointed out the importance of BCCI in supporting the educational process in Bahrain.

He reviewed the college’s strategy for 2023-2026, aiming to improve output quality and create qualitative and promising job opportunities for national competencies.

“We are committed to achieving the goals of the Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, by transforming the Bahrain Polytechnic into an advanced, efficient, innovative, and flexible higher education institution in the region,” he added.

BCCI Chairman praised the mission of Bahrain Polytechnic and the quality of its output, which is consistent with the highest standards and educational practices to serve the labour market sectors and enhance human capabilities so that they are able to compete within the framework of the open global market.
