Speaking at a coordination meeting for the monitoring of the implementation of the territorial protocol of care for women victims of violence, organized over two days by the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor, Ouahbi said that the ministry is keen to review the criminal policy and reconsider the principles that frame it, by putting in place legal mechanisms to prevent all forms of abuse of which women may be victims, including through a comprehensive review of the policy of criminalization and penalization or by specific laws to combat violence against women and girls.
He also underlined the importance of the emergence of policies to fight violence against women in the wake of a deep and global reform of justice in order to ensure the protection of rights and liberties, as well as to facilitate access to justice, to enshrine the respect of values of equity and equality and to promote the legal protection of women and girls victims of violence.
