Riyadh: Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Director General of Bilateral Relations, participated in the first meeting of the International Coalition for Implementing the Two-State Solution, held in Saudi Arabia. The meeting was inaugurated by Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah emphasised Bahrain’s support for international efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians. He also reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to freedom and self-determination and the establishment of their independent sovereign state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This commitment aligns with the two-state solution, relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Shaikh Abdullah further expressed Bahrain’s support for the full recogniti
on of the Palestinian state and its full membership in the United Nations. He views this as a roadmap for achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.
