The Israeli occupation forces today uprooted dozens of trees in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem, according to the head of Husan village council, Jamal Sabateen. He told WAFA that the occupation forces uprooted dozens of olive, almond and vine trees owned by Mashhour Hamamreh located in Qadis area, adjacent to the illegal Bitar Illit settlement. He said the occupation forces assaulted Hamamreh’s wife, Nawal, and his son, Mohammad, when they tried to stop the bulldozers from uprooting the trees. Settlers and the occupation forces regularly carry out leveling of lands, uprooting trees, setting fires to fields, and attacking landowners in the Qadis area.
