Rabat – The agreement signed, here Monday, between France and Morocco in education for 2024-2026 will foster new in-depth cooperation initiatives between the two countries, French Minister of National Education Anne Genetet said.

The agreement, which is a Declaration of Intent for cooperation in education 2024-2026, strengthens the framework agreement in force between the two countries since 2017 in this field, Genetet told MAP following the signing ceremony of several agreements between the Kingdom of Morocco and the French Republic, chaired by HM King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The aim is also to ‘support’ Morocco in its reform of the education system by 2030, through the exchange of expertise, the Minister added.

Signed by Morocco’s Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed Saad Berrada, the French Minister of National Education, Anne Genetet, and the French Minister of Higher Education and Research, Patrick Hetzel, the Declaration of Intent aims to promote bil
ateral cooperation in the following areas: promote excellence in training, support technical education sectors, strengthen the network of French educational institutions in Morocco, contribute to the teaching of the Arabic language in France and boost inter-academic partnerships.
