Manama, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister, held talks with Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, during his official visit to Bahrain.
Dr. Al Zayani commended the advancement in bilateral relations between the two countries. He highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to strengthening cooperation with Hungary, particularly in political, economic, and trade sectors, to foster closer ties that benefit both nations.
On his part, Minister Szijjártó expressed his pleasure at visiting Bahrain and praised the progress achieved in the partnership between the two countries. He affirmed Hungary’s commitment to expanding cooperation across all sectors to meet mutual goals.
The session focused on enhancing existing relations and increasing the scope of cooperation in political, economic, trade and development domains. It also discussed advancing the efforts of the Joint Economic Committee in this regard.
The ministers also addressed regional and international developments, including th
e situation in Gaza, efforts for a lasting ceasefire, and facilitating humanitarian aid.
Dr. Al Zayani briefed Minister Szijjártó on the outcomes of the 33rd Arab Summit, hosted by Bahrain in May, including Bahrain’s call for an international peace conference to establish the two-state solution for Palestine, as well as initiatives aimed at supporting those affected by conflicts and fostering digital innovation.
Both ministers underscored the necessity of putting an end to all global conflicts, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and highlighted the importance of promoting stability and peace worldwide.
Dr. Al Zayani and Minister Szijjártó signed an agreement to promote and protect investments between Bahrain and Hungary, aimed at boosting economic cooperation and attracting joint investments.
