Google Dedicates Doodle to Morocco’s 69th Independence Day.

Rabat: As per usual, Google dons Morocco’s national colors in celebration of the Kingdom’s 69th Independence Day on November 18. On its home page, the American giant pays tribute to the Kingdom with a doodle of the Moroccan flag fluttering in the wind against the backdrop of an orange-yellow sky. A click on the image offers access to plenty of information on this historical day.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this emblematic day is an opportunity to reminisce on the historic speech of November 18, 1955, by the Late HM Mohammed V announcing the end of the protectorate and the liberation of the country. ‘We are delighted to announce the end of the protectorate regime and the advent of freedom and independence,’ the late Sovereign declared on November 18, 1955, upon his return from exile in the company of the Royal Family.

Every year, the California-based company celebrates several Moroccan holidays and pays tribute to many Moroccan figures.
