Information Minister Meets Director General of GCC Joint Program Production Institution.


Manama: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, received Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, the Director General of the GCC Joint Program Production Institution (GCCJPPI), for discussions on enhancing media collaboration and supporting joint projects aimed at promoting a unified Gulf message.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on deepening ties among GCC countries, aligning with the directives of Gulf leaders to foster cooperation and achieve greater regional integration. The Minister highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to Gulf media cooperation, particularly significant as Manama has been designated as the Capital of Arab Media 2024. This dedication is in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, aiming to strengthen Gulf media’s regional and international influence, supporting development priorities within GCC countries, and meeting their citizens’ aspirations.

inister Al Noaimi lauded the historic role of the GCCJPPI in shaping a unified Gulf identity through quality content that merges traditional values with modern perspectives. This aligns with His Majesty the King’s vision of grounding Bahrain’s identity within its Gulf heritage while balancing openness with cultural authenticity.

Sheikh Mubarak Al Sabah expressed his gratitude to the Minister for supporting joint Gulf media initiatives, emphasizing the strong bonds between GCC nations and Bahrain’s commitment to advancing the Gulf media landscape. He commended Bahrain’s efforts to elevate Gulf radio and television production standards.

During his visit, Sheikh Mubarak toured the ministry’s facilities, departments, and studios, where he was briefed on the ministry’s operations. He praised the high level of Bahrain’s media sector and expressed his wishes for continued success for the Ministry of Information and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.
