The Palestinian Telecommunications Company (Paltel Group) announced the complete disruption of internet services in the northern Gaza Strip governorate, which has been subjected to ongoing massacres and forced displacement by the occupation forces for 15 days.

In a statement, the company said, “The interruptions included most areas of northern Gaza, where it was preceded by scattered interruptions, before it was completely disconnected, noting that its crews are working hard to restore services as soon as possible.”

The interruption of communications and the internet in some areas in Jabalia camp affects the ability of citizens to communicate with civil defense and medical services crews.

Since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression on October 7, 2023, communications and internet services have been interrupted several times in the Strip due to the intensive bombing that affected the communications network infrastructure, or as a result of fuel depletion.

Paltel previously announced the killing of a
number of its employees while working to restore communications to citizens in the Strip.

Due to the interruption of internet services in the north, journalists face great difficulty in covering field developments in light of the ongoing aggression.
