MAP Forum: Over 73K Stakeholders Have Participated in Public School Improvement Consultations – Education Minister

Benmoussa, who discussed Morocco’s roadmap for a good-quality public school at the MAP Forum, said that these stakeholders have conducted 6,098 workshops in all the regions of the Kingdom.

These workshops have revealed that the roadmap’s measures “represent topics shared by everyone: students, teachers and parents,” he said, noting that education stakeholders and their partners have shown great maturity and sense of commitment to public school improvement.

Regarding the timing of these consultations, the Minister said they will end on June 30 in the field and July 10 on the digital platform, whose results will be made public at the national level from July 15.

“This is a societal project that aims to define quality education as a national project for all,” said Benmoussa, stressing the need to involve all stakeholders in the reform plan, as well as to restore a climate of confidence in the school.

It is also to create a culture of teamwork and mutual dialogue, giving the right of opinion to all concerned, as well as to stimulate a change of mentality, and ensure the quality of participatory decisions and commitment of actors of change.

Benmoussa stressed that the Ministry is testing the roadmap, following up on suggestions based on collective intelligence, sharing pioneering experiences, as well as ensuring the voluntary involvement of all stakeholders.

MAP forum is a space for debate on current political, economic, cultural and social issues. Representatives of public authorities and personalities from various backgrounds as well as media representatives are invited to attend.
