Mara’ee 2024 to Be Held Under Patronage of HM King.


Manama: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain will host the seventh edition of the Bahrain Animal Production Show (Mara’ee 2024). Mara’ee reflects the interest of the Kingdom in preserving livestock and consolidating food security, commensurate with the plans and programmes implemented by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance sustainable investment in this vital sector.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, announced that Mara’ee 2024 will run from November 27 to December 1 at the Bahrain International Endurance Village. This year’s exhibition has been extended to five days, responding to the strong interest seen in previous editions. The minister emphasised the importance of Mara’ee in increasing the contributions of the animal production sector to the Kingdom’s food security. He highlighted Bahrain’s commitmen
t to developing the sector through exchanging experiences, enhancing preventive primary care, supporting farmers, applying the best practices and technologies, as well as building capabilities in accordance with the data of the National Strategy for Sustainable Agricultural Development.

The minister also affirmed the support the agriculture sector has from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD) Consultative Council President. He added that the event serves as a hub for learning and investment, adding to the Kingdom’s growing expertise in hosting high-profile events.

Minister Al Mubarak stated that the seventh edition also reinforces Bahrain’s strategic objectives to enhance the contribution of agriculture and animal husbandry to food security and the national economy. He added that it will provide key investment opportunities at one of Bahrain’s largest exhibitions, which has seen substantial pa
rticipation over the years, attracting visitors locally and internationally. The exhibition will include prominent figures in agriculture and animal husbandry, presenting the latest innovations, best livestock breeds, and providing a marketplace for livestock and poultry vendors. It will also offer a valuable opportunity for networking, marketing, and sharing expertise.

The minister further mentioned that the event will highlight national initiatives supporting food security and development in the sector, reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a leader in hosting exhibitions that stimulate economic growth and promote sustainable investment. The Mara’ee exhibition, through its previous editions, has drawn visitors from across the region, further solidifying Bahrain’s reputation on the global events stage.
