Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, chaired a coordination meeting to discuss the organisational framework and security preparations for the upcoming 2024-2025 camping season. Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, the Deputy Governor; Isa Abdulrahman Al Buainain, the Director General of Southern Area Municipality; and officials from the Ministry of Interior and the Southern Governorate attended the meeting.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali praised the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also commended the follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, in facilitating the preparations to provide necessary services for the camping season.
The Southern
Governorate announced that the camping season will be held from November 20 to February 20, 2025, with registration open from November 15 to 25 via the (Khayyam) initiative on the (Aljunobya) app. His Highness emphasised that the governorate is focused on fostering collaboration across community, security, and environmental sectors to ensure a safe and well-organised camping season for all attendees. He urged campers to follow guidelines issued through official media channels and the Southern Governorate’s communication platforms.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali highlighted the importance of adhering to camping regulations, observing the approved camping season map, and following all safety instructions to ensure a secure experience that meets the highest standards of safety, environmental protection, and organisation.
