A 2-year-old Palestinian toddler and his father were injured by Israeli gunfire tonight in an Israeli military ambush in the village of Nabi Saleh, to the northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. Bilal Tamimi, a local activist, told WAFA that an Israeli army force laid an ambush for a vehicle at the entrance to the village, and as soon as the vehicle approached them, soldiers rained the vehicle with bullets, injuring a toddler by a gunshot in his head and his father in his arm while they were in their home which is adjacent to an Israeli army checkpoint at the entrance to the village. The toddler and his father were rushed to a hospital in the nearby Israeli settlement of Nevei Tsof. The toddler was later moved to a hospital in Israel for medical treatment, while the father was moved to a hospital in nearby Ramallah. The health condition of the toddler and his father is not yet clear.
