2026 World Cup: Coach Ouahbi Highly Commends HM the King’s Constant Support for the Development of National Football


Boston: National team coach Mohamed Ouahbi, speaking Thursday evening, highly praised His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s constant support for the development of Moroccan football, saying that the Royal Vision and the investments made have enabled the Kingdom to reach new heights on the international stage.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the national team coach emphasized at a press conference following the World Cup quarterfinal match against France that the performances of the Atlas Lions are part of a momentum of progress driven by a long-term strategy. He credited the results achieved by Moroccan football to the enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which has allowed Moroccan soccer to reach the final stages of this global competition.

Ouahbi assured that they have all the ingredients to continue their progress. He highlighted upcoming challenges, such as the Africa Cup of Nations and the qualifiers, and expressed their ambition to win a tournament on home soil in 2030. He emphasized
the importance of taking one game at a time, continuing to build, and maintaining their level of performance.

He also stressed the need to continue the work already underway, focusing on the potential of young players and the progress made in recent months. Ouahbi stated that they have a large pool of young players and all the necessary conditions to continue improving.
