3rd World Youth Assembly for Road Safety Kicks Off in Marrakech


Marrakech: The 3rd World Youth Assembly for Road Safety kicked off on Saturday at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, with over 200 young people representing 130 countries taking part.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the event is organized by Youth for Road Safety (YOURS) and the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Morocco’s National Road Safety Agency (NARSA). This assembly is held on the eve of the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, scheduled for February 18-20 in Marrakech, and is designed to be a platform for shaping the future of road safety. It aims to innovate and create impact as part of a global movement for safer, more sustainable mobility.

The two-day meeting, taking place from February 15-16, seeks to connect global strategies with local action, ensuring the voices of young people are prominently heard. Participants will engage in inspiring lectures, creative workshops, and debates, contributing innovative
ideas to transform strategies into concrete actions and enhance global collaboration for safer roads.

During the assembly, young participants will discuss various critical road safety issues, highlighting the significance of collaboration and the involvement of all stakeholders to ensure smarter, safer roads. The event underscores that young people remain central to the design and monitoring of road safety solutions and policies.
