His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (79) of 2023, amending some provisions of the Executive Regulation of the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) Law, issued by Decree-Law (48) of 2010, and promulgated by Edict (51) of 2012, based on a proposal by the CSB.

The edict stipulates the following:

Article (I)

Clause (8) of the first paragraph of Article (18) of CSB Executive Regulation issued by Decree-Law (48) of 2010, and promulgated by Edict (51) of 2012, shall be replaced with the following:

“8- The Civil Service Bureau shall determine the compensation and job benefits to which the seconded employee is entitled, taking into account Clause (6) of this Article.”

Article (II)

Clause (2) of Article (26) of CSB Executive Regulation issued by Decree-Law (48) of 2010, and promulgated by Edict (51) of 2012 shall be repealed.

The ministers, the President of CSB and those concerned, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
