1,640 people killed since outbreak of Israel’s aggression on Lebanon


BEIRUT: Lebanese caretaker Minister of Public Health, Firas Al-Abyad, announced today that the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon in October 2023 has resulted in the tragic loss of 1,640 lives, including 104 children and 194 women.

According to the National News Agency, Minister Al-Abyad provided a detailed account of the casualties and injuries resulting from Israeli assaults, highlighting the urgent humanitarian situation for displaced individuals as numbers continue to rise due to intensified airstrikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The minister reported that a total of 8,408 people have been injured, with many victims still buried under rubble. He also noted the presence of missing persons and remains that have yet to be identified.

Al-Abyad also confirmed that 41 medical and emergency personnel have lost their lives since the beginning of the onslaught, while 111 others have sustained various injuries.
