Abidjan: The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, was named Finance Minister of the Year on Wednesday evening in Abidjan during the 2025 edition of the “African Banker” Awards. The prestigious award was presented to Fettah at a ceremony held on the sidelines of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Annual Meetings.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the “Finance Minister of the Year” award recognizes Fettah for her prudent macroeconomic policies and the reforms she has undertaken to create a favorable investment climate in Morocco. Her initiatives have been instrumental in boosting economic growth and attracting foreign investments to the country.
The “African Banker” Awards are organized by African Banker magazine and IC Events, in cooperation with Business in Africa Events. These awards are designed to celebrate excellence and best practices in the banking and financial sectors across the African continent, highlighting the achievements of individuals and organizations that have contributed significantly to the industry’s development.
