Algeria Reaffirms Commitment to African Parliamentary Cooperation


Algiers: Algeria has reiterated its commitment to fostering parliamentary cooperation with African nations. In a recent initiative, Smaili engaged in a working session with the Speaker of the Parliament of Mozambique and the Vice Speaker of the Parliament of South Africa to examine ways of enhancing parliamentary relations between Algeria and these African countries.



According to Algeria Press Service, Smaili underscored the significance of activating mechanisms for coordination and dialogue on issues of mutual interest. These efforts focus on bolstering African integration and supporting sustainable development throughout the continent.



An agreement was established to increase reciprocal visits and revitalize parliamentary friendship groups. This initiative includes a virtual dialogue session between Algeria’s Lower House and its counterparts in South Africa and Mozambique. The efforts reflect a collective commitment to building enduring institutional partnerships that align with the aspirations of African peoples.
