Arab Cup: Morocco Reaches Quarterfinals After 1-0 Win Over Saudi Arabia


Doha: The Moroccan A’ national football team secured its position in the quarterfinals of the Arab Cup (Qatar 2025) following a narrow 1-0 triumph over Saudi Arabia on Monday at Lusail Stadium in Doha. This victory marked a significant achievement for Morocco as it progressed to the next stage of the tournament.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the decisive goal in the match was scored in the 11th minute by Karim El Berkaoui. This early lead proved to be enough for Morocco to maintain their top position in Group B.



Morocco concluded the group stage with a total of 7 points, placing them at the top of the standings. Saudi Arabia secured the second spot with 6 points, while Oman finished in third place with 4 points. The Comoros ended the group stage without any points, finishing at the bottom of the table.
