Hyderabad: The Social Democratic Alliance in the Arab World (SDAAW) has reiterated its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity, expressing its rejection of separatist attempts and any infringement of the Kingdom’s sovereignty over its entire territory.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, in a press release issued following a meeting held recently in Hyderabad, India, on the sidelines of the Progressive Alliance Congress, the SDAAW called on neighboring countries to resolve disputes peacefully, on the basis of cooperation, in favor of genuine development for the people across the region.
At the meeting, attended by First Secretary of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces Party (USFP) Driss Lachguar, the Alliance also expressed its commitment to continuing work towards empowering young people and women and ensuring their participation in economic and public life.
It also spotlighted efforts enabling this category to assume leadership roles in government and civil society organizations, in addition to parliaments and local councils, through various initiatives and activities at local and regional levels, in collaboration with the Progressive Alliance to achieve global and social justice.
The Alliance also noted that the Middle East remains one of the world’s major areas of conflict, instability and wars, which hinders the achievement of peace, security and prosperity for the people and countries of the region.
In this respect, the SDAAW affirmed that there can be no peace without recognition of the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the June 1967 borders, with East Al-Quds as its capital.
