Bahrain attends joint annual meetings of Arab financial institutions

On behalf of the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Undersecretary Youssef Abdulla Humood today led Bahrain’s delegation to the joint annual meetings of Arab financial institutions in Rabat, Morocco.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Morocco Khalid bin Salman bin Jabr Al Al Musallam was also part of the delegation that attended the meetings under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The sessions included the 52nd annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the 46th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Arab Monetary Fund, the 47th annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the 50th annual meeting of the Board of Shareholders of the Arab Corporation for Investment and Export Credit Guarantee, and the 47th annual meeting of the Board of Shareholders of the Authority Arab Investment and Agricultural Development, and the 14th regular session of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers,

During the meetings, a number of topics were discussed, including the achievements made by the Arab financial institutions in providing financial and technical support for major development projects in the Arab countries during the past year, and their contributions to promoting and supporting joint Arab action.

The delegations discussed a number of papers prepared by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank on supporting small and medium enterprises in Arab countries, developing social security systems to enhance job opportunities and growth in Arab countries, public debt strategies and developing debt markets in Arab countries. They also reviewed the latest developments. economic and financial situation in the Arab region.
