Rabat: The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, part of the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, presented its program for the upcoming month of Ramadan 1446H in the holy city of Al-Quds on Monday at the ‘Night of Charity’ event in Rabat.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Agency aims to raise a million dollars to finance the program. This involves distributing 2,000 food baskets containing 22 basic products to meet the needs of Palestinian families and providing more than 30,000 hot meals, equating to 1,000 meals a day. Additionally, the initiative includes distributing Eid clothes to orphans under the Agency’s care.

During the charity event, which commemorated the anniversary of the Prophet’s Night Journey and Ascension (Al Israa wa Al Miaaraj), the Agency announced the annual Ramadan lantern ‘Fanous Ramadan’ event. The program will also feature a religious vigil marked by Quranic recitals, Madih, and religious chants.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, Managing Director of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, emphasized the pride Moroccans feel in their history and the courage of their ancestors in defending Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa. He highlighted that Moroccans, led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, are committed to providing all necessary support for the people of Al-Quds.

Under the direct supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Agency is dedicated to preserving and enhancing these efforts while safeguarding the historical heritage of Moroccans in the ‘Bayt Al-Maqdis’ center.

A media campaign has also been launched on social networks leading up to Ramadan to call for donations, ensuring compliance with the existing laws and regulations, the press release concludes.
