Rabat: Congolese international Fiston Mayele, currently playing for Egyptian club Pyramids, was awarded the title of Interclub Player of the Year at the CAF Awards 2025. The ceremony took place on Wednesday evening, celebrating the achievements of African footballers and clubs.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, two other notable players were in contention for this prestigious accolade. Mohamed Chibi, also from Pyramids, and Oussama Lamlioui from Renaissance Berkane, represented Morocco in the competition for the award. Their performances throughout the year were recognized as part of the significant contributions to their respective clubs.
The CAF Awards, held annually, aim to honor the best talents in African football, with various categories celebrating both individual and team accomplishments. This year’s event in Rabat brought together players, coaches, and fans to commemorate the exceptional skills and sportsmanship exhibited over the past year.
