Rabat: Infantino made the statement during the CAF Awards ceremony held in Rabat on Wednesday evening. He welcomed the significant progress achieved by African countries in terms of infrastructure and development, expressing his delight at visiting Morocco, the U-20 world champion.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, for 2025, Morocco’s U-20 squad was honored by CAF with the Best African Team award. Individual distinctions also went to Achraf Hakimi for Best Player, Yassine Bounou for Best Goalkeeper, Ghizlaine Chebbak for Best Female Player, Othman Maamma for best young player and Doha Madani as best young female player.
