Egyptian President, Saudi Crown Prince call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza, an end to Israeli escalation in West Bank


CAIRO: Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, Sunday called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and an end to the Israeli escalation in the West Bank.

During a phone call, the Egyptian president and Saudi Crown Prince agreed on the need to reach an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and put a stop to the escalation in the West Bank, which would ensure that the conflict does not widen and restore stability in the region.

According to the official Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Crown Prince stressed the need to exert all Arab and Islamic efforts to stop the escalation and the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

Both sides also discussed regional situations and ways to strengthen joint Arab action to face the challenges affecting regional security and peace.
