Eight civilians killed in Israeli strikes on civilian homes in Gaza


GAZA: Eight civilians were killed this evening in Israeli strikes that shelled civilian houses east of Gaza City.

Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting the Aliwa family home, east of the Shejaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza, killing three people and injuring several others.

Five civilians were also killed and others were injured in Israeli airstrikes that targeted civilian homes west of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Israeli artillery also shelled civilian homes in different areas of the Zeitoun neighborhood, in Gaza City.

According to sources, the occupation’s warplanes continued to launch violent raids against the Central Gaza Governorate.

On March 25, the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during Ramadan. The resolution also affirmed the urgent need to expand the flow of aid into Gaza and called for lifting all barriers with Gaza for the provision of humanitarian assistance at scale, in line with international humanitari
