Casablanca:The national market will continue to be regularly supplied with energy products until the end of the year, assured Leila Benali, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Minister Benali stated that current stocks of various petroleum products cover a period of 40 to 60 days and are monitored daily. This ensures the continuity of supply to the national market. Her comments followed a meeting of the Ministerial Commission, chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, which focused on the economic impacts of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
Benali emphasized that the available stocks allow for the strengthening of national reserves, particularly for essential products like butane gas and gasoil. The ministerial commission is actively monitoring these supplies to ensure stability.
Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah highlighted that international fuel price fluctuations are under close watch, and financial resources are b
eing mobilized to support affected sectors such as transport. This is part of efforts to mitigate the impact on professionals and control inflation, which remains stable.
These measures aim to reassure transport professionals, with financial support continuing through the year-end. Fettah stressed the importance of maintaining public policies that support sectors hit by rising fuel prices.
Minister of Industry and Commerce Ryad Mezzour noted that Morocco is equipped to meet its fuel needs and maintain a steady supply. Measures have been implemented to shield Moroccan citizens from international price increases and protect their purchasing power. The Ministerial Commission will continue to meet as needed to address international developments.
