Family of nine killed in Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon


BEIRUT: A family of nine was tragically killed late last night when Israeli warplanes struck a three-story home in the town of Shebaa, located in southern Lebanon.

Local sources reported that the devastating Israeli airstrike resulted in the murder of nine members of the Al-Zahra family, including a grandfather, grandmother, children, and a pregnant woman, while they were asleep.

The National News Agency, citing data from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, reported a total of 14 fatalities and 38 injuries over the past 24 hours due to the indiscriminate Israeli military attacks.

The Israeli airstrikes intensified after midnight, affecting various towns and villages in the western and central regions of Lebanon.

The attacks targeted areas including Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, Halousieh, Dabaal, Bazourieh, Shihabiyeh, Abasiyah, Qadmous, Jell al-Bahr, the eastern entrance to Tyre, and Ma’rakeh, resulting in further casualties and injuries.
