Rabat: FIFA’s Chief Gianni Infantino expressed his pride in participating in the festivities celebrating the 27th anniversary of HM King Mohammed VI’s enthronement, emphasizing that taking part in this event constitutes, for him, “a true honor.”

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Infantino stated his feelings of being at home in Morocco during the festivities celebrating Throne Day. He made these remarks during a statement to the press on the sidelines of the reception chaired by King Mohammed VI in M’diq.

The FIFA President took this opportunity to express his joy over Morocco’s role in co-hosting the centenary edition of the 2030 World Cup. Infantino remarked that the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco is set to host alongside Spain and Portugal, is anticipated to be one of the most memorable in history. He emphasized that holding the event in a country as remarkable as Morocco ensures an extraordinary World Cup experience.

Infantino also highlighted the enthusiasm of Moroccan football fans, who passionately support their national team. He noted that Moroccans will extend their warm hospitality to fans from around the world during the upcoming World Cup.
