The first Arab Forum for Parliamentary Media will take place tomorrow under the theme “Parliamentary Media and Digitisation… Opportunities and Challenges,”.
Held under the patronage of Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, from September 12 to 14, the forum is organised by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO) of the League of Arab States, in cooperation with the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, the silver sponsor.
The forum aims to discuss the challenges that parliamentary media faces in building the media message during the digital age,. It will also review a number of Arab parliamentary media experiences in order to strengthen the political culture and spread democratic awareness.
It also aims to facilitate constructive communication among the parties involved in the parliamentary media communication process, and provide a better understanding of the role that specialised media can play in enhancing interactions among parliamentary institutions, media institutions, and the public as a whole.
The forum will cover several topics, including parliamentary media…the fundamentals and transformations of the role and mission, parliamentary media and creating effective communication with the target audience, parliamentary media and digital communication tools…the present and the future, in addition to parliamentary media and youth participation.
