FRMF Pursues Legal Action with CAF & FIFA Over Senegal’s AFCON 2025 Final Withdrawal


Rabat: The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Monday that it will resort to legal procedures with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). This action aims to address the withdrawal of the Senegalese national team from the pitch during the AFCON 2025 final against the Moroccan national team.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the decision follows events that transpired after the referee awarded a penalty, which specialists unanimously deemed correct. The FRMF’s statement, published on its official website, emphasized that this situation significantly impacted the normal course of the match and the players’ performance.



The FRMF also took the opportunity to express its gratitude to the Moroccan public for their unwavering support. The statement acknowledged the massive presence and unconditional support of the fans throughout all the matches played by the national team, as well as other fixtures.
