Government Council to Convene on Thursday to Discuss Draft Decrees and International Agreements

Rabat: The Government Council is set to meet on Thursday to deliberate on a series of draft decrees and international agreements. At the forefront of the agenda are three draft decrees: the establishment of new districts and a new cadat, the procedures for implementing alternative sentences, and the enforcement of Article 13 of the framework law concerning the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Council will also focus on two cooperation agreements signed between the governments of Morocco and Saudi Arabia on November 13, 2024, in Riyadh. These agreements address the transfer of convicted persons and mutual legal assistance in criminal matters. Furthermore, the Council will examine two draft laws that seek approval of these agreements.

In conclusion, the Council will evaluate proposals for senior-level appointments as part of its proceedings, in line with Article 92 of the Constitution.
