Government Council to Convene on Thursday to Discuss Key Legislative Amendments


Rabat: The upcoming session of the Government Council is set to address significant legislative amendments and international agreements this Thursday. The Council’s agenda includes the examination of a bill concerning compensation for victims of motor vehicle accidents, aiming to amend and supplement the existing Dahir (Royal Decree).

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the session will also review two critical draft decrees. The first decree seeks to update the list of higher education institutions that are not affiliated with universities, while the second focuses on revising the decree related to revenue from reprographic reproduction as part of the law on copyright and related rights.

Furthermore, the Council will deliberate on a convention concerning mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Kazakhstan. This convention, originally signed in Rabat on December 12, 2024, will be accompanied by a draft law that seeks approval for its provisions.

In
concluding the session, the Council is expected to consider proposals for senior positions, following the guidelines set by Article 92 of the Constitution.
