Government Outlines Concrete Measures with Real Funding for Program Implementation

Rabat:The government is set to implement concrete, effective, and realistic measures supported by figures and real funding to execute its program, as highlighted by Head of Government, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, during a plenary session in the House of Councillors.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, El Mansouri emphasized that the government’s commitments extend beyond mere declarations of intent. They are based on measures developed after engaging with citizens, particularly concerning youth, the elderly, women, and purchasing power. She expressed confidence in Morocco’s ability to achieve its ambitions due to its human and natural resources, solid institutions, stability, and infrastructure.

El Mansouri also noted the political nature of her government, formed by four national political parties sharing democratic values and a commitment to dialogue. She underscored the importance of moralizing public life to restore citizens’ trust in institutions and highlighted the government’s resolve to combat conflicts of interest. El Mansouri reiterated the goal of creating one million jobs, reducing unemployment to 7%, and increasing women’s employability to 21.2% by 2031. She also reaffirmed the commitment to social dialogue and allocated 50 billion dirhams for this purpose by 2027.

She stressed the importance of development management in rural areas, relying on local stakeholders’ involvement. The government recognizes expatriates as partners in development and aims to enhance services through digitalization.

Financially, El Mansouri outlined that total expenditures are projected to reach 390 billion dirhams, with 314 billion covered by the state budget and 76 billion from non-budgetary resources. Specific allocations include 108 billion for social protection, 93 billion to support purchasing power, and significant investments in development and infrastructure. The government targets economic growth of 5%, a deficit of 3%, and inflation of 2%, while ensuring debt remains below 62% by 2031, with 240 billion dirhams anticipated from tax resources.
