Health Minister meets HiPO Youth affiliates

Dr. Jalila bint Sayed Jawad Hassan, Health Minister, has affirmed that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and thanks to the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain considers investing in Bahraini youth as a national priority, as it is the main engine for advancing development and achieving national aspirations, by upgrading the youth sector, developing programmes for them, and consolidating the creativity and innovation approach.

The minister was speaking while meeting the affiliates of the fifth batch of the national leadership programme “HiPO Youth”, which is organised by the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and INJAZ Bahrain.

Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa highlighted that the HiPO Youth programme is in line with the government’s action agenda aimed at consolidating the innovation and creativity approach, noting that the programme mainly seeks to hone the capabilities of Bahraini youth, provide them with the tools of science and knowledge, and involve them in making change by formulating creative and innovative ideas and initiatives that are presented to decision-makers.

Dr. Shaikha Rana noted that over four consecutive years, the programme has produced numerous national outputs, with participants contributing to over 30 youth projects and initiatives in Bahrain. Additionally, national studies on youth talent and work foundations were completed, reflecting the actual role of Bahraini youth in advancing the country.
