Rabat: Heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail and sporadic gusts of wind are expected to impact several Moroccan provinces from Saturday at 11 a.m. to Sunday at 12 p.m. This weather disturbance includes precipitation levels ranging from 40 to 55 mm and has prompted an orange level alert by the DGM for the provinces of Taroudant, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Essaouira, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, and Inezgane-Ait Melloul.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, additional provinces including Al Haouz, Azilal, Settat, El Jadida, Safi, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Tiznit, Chichaoua, Mohammadia, Khenifra, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga, Rabat, Khemisset, Casablanca, Mediouna, Berrechid, Benslimane, Skhirate-Temara, Marrakech, Rehamna, Salé, Kelaa Sraghna, and Nouaceur are forecasted to experience similar weather conditions with rainfall between 25 and 40 mm.
Moreover, an increased rainfall range of 40 to 70 mm is predicted for the provinces of Larache, Fahs-Anjra, Taounate, Al Hoceima, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Kenitra,
Chefchaouen, M’Diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Tangier-Assilah, and Ouezzane, with the weather event expected to last from Saturday at 3 p.m. until Sunday at 11 p.m.
