Manama, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), met Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024.

The ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 will be held on October 13-24, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The event is organised in partnership with the International School Sport Federation (ISF), in partnership with various government and private sectors. HH Shaikh Khalid was briefed on the committee’s progress in finalising preparations, with the Executive Committee working closely under the guidance of the Supreme Organising Committee.

HH Shaikh Khlaid commended the cooperation between the Ministry of Education, GSA, BOC, and the Bahrain Schools and College Athletic Association to ensure the event’s success. HH
Shaikh Khalid called for intensifying efforts as the event draws closer, underscoring the significance of its royal patronage.

HH Shaikh Khalid also emphasised the scale of the event, which will see over 5,000 students from more than 70 countries, making it one of the biggest sporting events in the Kingdom. HH Shaikh Khalid expressed his confidence in the committee’s ability to ensure a successful event, commending their efforts and wishing them further success.
