Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, has directed that mosques which have been newly built, reconstructed, or restored by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs be opened at the start of the sacred month of Ramadan.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, a press release from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs indicates that a total of 26 mosques will be inaugurated. This includes four mosques that have been newly constructed, thirteen that have been rebuilt, and nine that have undergone restoration.
The combined capacity of these mosques is 14,836 worshippers, with a total investment of 160 million dirhams.
