Rabat: His Majesty King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and compassion to members of the family of the late Abdelhak Lamrini, historiographer of the Kingdom of Morocco and spokesman for the Royal Palace. “I have learned with deep grief and sorrow the news of the death of My faithful servant the late Abdelhak Lamrini, historiographer of the Kingdom of Morocco and spokesman for the Royal Palace, may God accept him in His holy mercy in these blessed days of the month of Dou Al-Hijja, and surround him with His vast magnanimity”, the Sovereign writes.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, on this painful ordeal, His Majesty the King expresses His deep condolences and sincere feelings of compassion to members of the deceased’s family, and through them, to his relatives, friends, admirers and the academic and cultural realm, following the loss of a pillar, an intellectual and cultural figure and one of the country’s faithful servants.
The best solace, following this devastating loss, is the invaluable
intellectual and scientific contribution published by the deceased over a long career spanning over six decades, during which he held high office in the service of the lofty mission of educating and documenting Morocco’s modern history,” the Sovereign continues.
The departed enriched the national library with several relevant and singular works and publications, forever to remain a living testimony to his intellectual eminence, his passion for knowledge, his self-sacrifice in the service of his homeland, as well as his sincere and unwavering commitment to the constants and sanctities of the nation, as well as to the Glorious Alaouite Throne, His Majesty the King emphasizes.
