His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the outgoing Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Roderick Drummond, at Riffa Palace, to mark the end of his tenure in the Kingdom.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the historic relations between the UK and Bahrain, which span over 200 years, noting the importance of strengthening multisector cooperation to achieve the aspirations of both Kingdoms and their people.
His Royal Highness commended the Ambassador's efforts in furthering bilateral relations, noting the UK's role, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding global peace.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad extended best wishes to HE Drummond in his future endeavours.
During the meeting, regional and global developments and issues of common interest were discussed.
The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
