Manama: Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, attended the launch of Live FM, a new private Hindi-language radio station broadcasting on 107.2 FM, at the Ministry of Information’s private radio studios. The event was graced by the presence of Vinod Kurian Jacob, Ambassador of India to Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister remarked that the launch of Live FM symbolizes the robust relationship between Bahrain and India, expressing optimism that the station will enhance bilateral ties, especially in the realms of cultural and media collaboration. He underscored the significance of the new station, situated in the private radio studios inaugurated last August by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The facility is designed as a comprehensive media hub, equipped with cutting-edge broadcasting, sound, and digital technology, aligning with Bahrain’s strategy to attract specialized media companies and boost investment in th
e sector.
The minister highlighted the importance of Live FM in serving Bahrain’s substantial Hindi-speaking community by offering varied content in their native language. He extended his best wishes for the station’s success. Ambassador Jacob, in turn, expressed gratitude to the minister for his attendance and lauded Bahrain’s openness and tolerance in embracing foreign communities, including the Indian community. He conveyed confidence that Live FM would act as a cultural bridge, enhancing communication and presenting Bahrain’s progressive image to Hindi-speaking residents in the Kingdom.
