Ten Palestinians sustained injuries from rubber-coated rounds, while dozens suffered from suffocation, today as Israeli occupation forces suppressed the weekly anti-occupation protest in the village of Kfar Qaddum, east of Qalqilya City in the occupied West Bank, local sources said. Murad Shatwi, the spokesperson for Fatah movement in the Qalqilya province, told WAFA that Israeli occupation forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets and toxic tear gas towards the protesters. As a result, ten Palestinian civilians were wounded by rubber-coated bullets, the condition of one of whom required hospitalization. The remaining injuries were treated on-site by the Palestinian Red Crescent teams. The village of Kfar Qaddum has been the site of regular demonstrations against Israeli settlements and the illegal confiscation of Palestinian lands. These protests serve as a platform for residents to voice their rejection of the ongoing Israeli occupation policies that infringe upon their rights and hinder their daily lives.
