Israeli forces demolish residential structures, livestock pens in Nablus-area village

NABLUS: Israeli occupation bulldozers on Tuesday demolished residential structures and livestock pens in the village of Duma, south of Nablus, according to a local official.

Head of Duma village council, Suleiman Dawabsha, said Israeli forces stormed the village, and proceeded – for the fourth time – to demolish several residential structures and barns owned by citizen Ahmed Suleiman Zawahreh.

The demolition of Palestinian residents’ homes has escalated significantly since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on October 7, 2023, especially in areas classified as Area C of the West Bank, which constitutes 60 percent of the occupied West Bank and falls under full Israeli military rule.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, the occupation authorities carried out 62 demolition operations against 78 structures during August 2024, including 36 inhabited houses, eight uninhabited, 13 agricultural structures and other structures. The occupati
on also notified of its intentions to demolish 74 houses and other structures.
