Israeli settlers attack a Palestinian couple in West Bank

Israeli settlers today attacked a Palestinian couple in the village of Tuquo, east of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to Hasan Breijieh, a local official. He told WAFA that settlers from a newly established illegal settlement outpost attacked, and for the second day in a row, Salim al-Badan, 65, and his wife in their land and attempted to burn their tent and harm their livestock. Area residents intervened to help the elderly couple and were able to push the settlers out of their land. Breijieh noted that a settlement plan in that area is in the making and that the Israeli occupation authorities collude with the settlers in their attacks against the Palestinian residents to force them to leave their lands.
