Journalists Syndicate to work with international laws to hold Israel accountable for killing journalists

RAMALLAH: The General Secretariat of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) said on Sunday that it’s moving forward in holding the occupation accountable for its crimes against journalists, notingthat its leaders will not escape punishment.

The PJS said that it’ll diligently work with the International Federation of Journalists and teams of international lawyers, and file complaints with the International Criminal Court and American and European courts, where it’s available to apply to hold Israel accountable and prosecute Israeli leaders and its US supporters for the crimes against Palestinian journalists.

The PJS called on UNESCO and the United Nations Commissioners for Freedom of Opinion, Expression and Human Rights to assume their roles and activate their powers to protect Palestinian journalists and ensure freedom of their work, including ensuring the entry of journalists into the Gaza Strip and consistent communication with journalists in Gaza via telephone and the Internet.
