Launch in Rabat of Kenya’s Economic Promotion Week in Morocco

Rabat: The launch of Kenya’s Economic Promotion Week in Morocco was marked with a significant meeting between Ambassador, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) Mohamed Methqal and a large economic delegation from Kenya. The delegation is visiting Morocco from November 10 to 16 as part of efforts to bolster economic diplomacy between the two nations.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this initiative aligns with the actions implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates. It aims to support Morocco’s economic diplomacy on a continental scale, facilitated by AMCI and its partners. The week’s agenda is packed with strategic meetings in Rabat, Casablanca, and Laayoune involving public institutions and private economic operators.

These meetings will engage organizations such as the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and sectoral federations. Notable participants include the Professional Association of Moroccan Banks (GPBM), Casablanca Finance City and its business ecosystem, and the Regional Investment Center (CRI) in Laayoune. The Kenyan economic delegation, led by Carole Kariuki, Director of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), and Onditi Kennedy, National Director of the Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, consists of several senior officials from both the public and private sectors, reflecting the collaborative spirit of this initiative.
