Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid Honored with Commander of Legion of Honor in Paris


Paris: Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the South Zone, received the insignia of Commander of the Legion of Honor on Wednesday. This event took place on the sidelines of the 23rd meeting of the Morocco-France Joint Military Commission, held on December 9-10 in Paris. The meeting was attended by a high-level Moroccan delegation led by the Inspector General of the FAR, following High Royal Instructions.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the honor was presented on behalf of the President of the French Republic by Air Force General Fabien Mandon, Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces (CEMA). The official ceremony was attended by senior civilian and military figures, as noted in a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.

On the same occasion, Major General Mohamed Abbar, Inspector of the FAR Military Health Service, and Air Force Major General Fouad Moumen, Chief of the 4th Office of the FAR General Staff, were aw
arded the National Order of Merit Medal (Officer Grade). These decorations recognize their efforts in developing bilateral military relations under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
